Być może polityka to nic takiego, dopóki twoje istnienie nie zostanie uznane za narzędzie do politycznych gierek, dopóki nie staniesz się kolejnym lukratywnym celem, dopóki nie znajdziesz się w tym po szyje. To nie aż tak oczywiste, gdy to nie ty jesteś na celowniku, ale obrona swoich praw nie jest przesadną reakcją. To wezwanie, aby ludzie traktowali politykę poważnie, głosowali, podejmowali produktywną konwersacje, wychodzili na przeciw niesprawiedliwości i nie czekali, aż nadejdzie ich kolej. Bo może polityka cię nie interesuje, ale pewnego dnia polityka może zainteresować się tobą.
(People often like to say, "Politics just isn't that deep, get over it," justifying their stagnation and/or bigotry. Maybe politics are not that deep until your existence is deemed political, until you are the next profitable target, until you are drowning because someone told you to learn to swim while actively pushing you under and not letting you breathe. It also seams like it's not that deep when you are not the one who is targeted, defending yourself is not overreaction. It's a call for people to take politics seriously, to vote, organize, call out injustice, and not to wait to be next in line. Because you might not care, but someday politics might care about you.)
